Homeopathy : Medicine for Our Time
Given the world situation, this is a perfect time to start your studies and gain confidence in caring for yourself and your loved ones with homeopathic remedies.
Homeopathy is popular and widely practiced all over Europe, South America, and India because it has proved to be effective throughout almost two centuries of practice.
In the United States, homeopathic medical schools, hospitals, and clinics were commonplace over one hundred years ago. Today there is a renaissance of interest in homeopathy in the US as alternatives to traditional Western medicine gain acceptance by both professional health practitioners and lay persons.
In addition, although classical homeopathy has been in existence in its current form for almost two hundred years, relying on the same principles and remedies, it is based on ideas that are only now being explored and verified by cutting-edge research in the physical sciences.
Learn the basic principles of homeopathy in the short video below:
Conditions affected by Homeopathy
Homeopathy is effective for many conditions not well addressed by mainstream allopathic medicine. Homeopathic remedies work by evoking a person’s own healing response. They are gentle and easy to take, usually in the form of small lactose pellets. The remedies are formulated according to the Homeopathic Pharmacopia of the United States.
Acute Conditions
Acute Homeopathy, as taught in Module One, is effective for:
- Acute illnesses such as flu, coughs, bladder infections, ear infections
- Physical and emotional trauma such as sprains, strains, jet lag, grief, anxiety
- Musculoskeletal conditions such as headaches, sciatica
- Pregnancy
- Hayfever
- Children’s complaints such as teething and colic
Chronic Conditions
Homeopathy can also be highly effective for numerous chronic conditions considered untreatable by conventional allopathic medicine. Disorders of the nervous system, hormonal system and immune system can be addressed with homeopathic care. These are addressed in modules two through six of the Caduceus Institute’s program.
Homeopathy is an excellent choice for babies and children and is an adjunct to the practice of chiropractic, Chinese medicine, massage therapy, and other modalities that support a healing response rather than suppress symptoms. Many flu, cholera, and typhoid epidemics were successfully treated with homeopathy in its early days.
